Termly news updates from The Rise Sixth Form

There are many activities our learners take part in at The Rise Sixth Form. Below are some of the highlights of the past term.

Aspen class

Our learners have been taking a range of courses this past term, including; ICT, travel, vehicle maintenance, media, music, motor vehicles, construction, and hair and beauty.

Clockwise: Learner at motor vehicles lesson, learners and staff taking part in aerobics, learner showcasing her makeup skills to member of staff, and learner getting a certificate for holding the longest squat in PE.

Learners have said;

The Rise Sixth Form staff support me with any essential material that I need, e.g. booster classes for any subjects I am struggling with.

The staff are ready to answer any questions I may have and are always willing to help me.

The staff are amazing because they are kind, helpful and very supportive to me.

It has been a wonderful start for all the year 12 learners in palm class. Learners are making solid friendships with peers within The Rise Sixth Form and with West Thames peers. Palm learners continue to engage with their English and maths lessons and are incredibly productive during independent learning time.

The Rise Sixth Form is the best place to hang out as a young student.  It is filled with so many enrichment activities that I love including the gym.

He passed his first exam with a mark of 77%. He is loving his practical lessons.
